Tuesday was brutal with the heat and humidity- Oklahoma was one of the hottest spots in the country behind Texas!

The highest air temperature was in Fairview, and the highest heat index was in Okmulgee.

While the air temperature was higher in the west, the heat index was higher in the east. This is because of the higher dewpoints in Eastern Oklahoma with all of the recent rains.

It's a warm, humid and breezy start to our Wednesday. A weak cool front has arrived, bringing us a northeast breeze.

Highs will not be as hot today with lower humidity, especially east of I-35.

There's a slight chance for a few isolated showers or thunderstorms across the west.

Overnight Wednesday night into Thursday, it's warm, humid and breezy with shower chances across the north.

Thursday is another "not as hot" day for those east of I-35. We'll have a southeast breeze and mostly sunny skies.

Thunderstorms will take off in the Northwest and press southeast overnight into Friday. These storms will pose a damaging wind threat.
