Former Michigan guard L.J. Cason entered the transfer portal July 15 and six days later chose his new home — Miami (Fla.). The Lakeland, Fla., native will play closer to home in the coming years, with three seasons of eligibility remaining. However, Cason told Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports that he will sit out the entire 2026-27 campaign as he recovers from an ACL injury.
