Newcastle United has yet to officially announce its squad numbers for the 2026-27 season, but several changes have already been revealed, perhaps inadvertently, through the club’s online store.
Supporters browsing the official club shop to personalize the new home kit spotted the updated numbers on Tuesday, offering an early glimpse of how Eddie Howe’s squad could line up ahead of the new campaign.
The biggest change sees striker Will Osula inherit the No. 10 shirt following Anthony Gordon’s summer departure, while Tino Livramento has taken the vacant No. 2 previously worn by Kieran Trippier.
Anthony Elanga has also switched from No. 20 to No. 19, while new signing Sean Steur retains the No. 14 shirt that was revealed at his arrival from Ajax.
The club’s online store also appears to confirm squad numbers for two more summer arrivals, with Bazoumana Toure listed as No. 17 and goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen taking No. 24.
Although Newcastle has not formally announced the changes, online retailers are typically updated ahead of the season to ensure supporters ordering customized shirts receive the correct squad numbers.
Osula’s move to the No. 10 shirt is likely to attract the most attention after the Denmark international finished last season strongly following speculation over his future earlier in the campaign, with his sale to Frankfurt just minutes away from materializing at the end of last summer’s transfer window.
Before Gordon took over the No. 10 jersey, it was former Magpie winger Allan Saint-Maximin who had last used it.
