NBA 2K27 launches worldwide on September 4, 2026, 2K confirmed today, releasing on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Players who buy the Deluxe or Ultra Edition get in early. Early Access begins Friday, August 28 at 9:00 a.m. PDT, up to a full week before the standard launch, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The Switch 2 inclusion is the notable part. NBA 2K27 arrives on Nintendo's new hardware day and date with the other platforms rather than as a delayed or cut-down port, though only the Standard Edition is listed for Switch 2.
Pre-orders are live now, with pre-order bonus content requiring redemption by 10 a.m. PT on August 17. The date confirms a detail that leaked back in June, when we reported on a leak citing the same September 4 launch and August 28 early access. Both are now official.
