The only thing better in the hot summer months than a refreshing cocktail? A frozen version, like these tequila sunrise pops. With only 4 ingredients, these frozen pops are the easiest happy hour treat for the hottest summer days. Make them the morning of, then enjoy the most refreshing (and boozy) treat later in the day.
Tip: The ombre effect in these pops is shockingly easy. All you need to remember is to drop the grenadine in after you add the juice mixture. THAT'S IT. Just let them freeze for at least for hours, then you’re ready for summertime sipping.

Yields: 9
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 4 hours 30 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 c.
pineapple juice
- 1/2 c.
tequila
- 1/4 c.
lime juice
- 1/4 c.
grenadine
- 2
limes, sliced 1/4" thick
Directions
- Place 9 (3-oz.) dixie cups on a small rimmed baking sheet. In a large liquid measuring cup, whisk together pineapple juice, tequila, and lime juice. Pour into dixie cups until they are ¾ full, then pour about 1 teaspoon grenadine into each mold.
- Use a paring knife to create a slit in the center of each lime slice then insert a wooden spoon or popsicle stick. Place on top of each cup, making sure there is no room between the mixture and lime slice.
- Freeze until solid, about 4 hours.
- When ready to serve, cut open Dixie cup with scissors and peel them away from the pops.
