My Hero Academia 10th anniversary exhibition announced

Fans of My Hero Academia are in for a treat, as a special exhibition celebrating the 10th anniversary of its anime adaptation will be held in early 2027. The popular shonen manga series ended its run in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2024, with the anime, produced by Studio Bones, concluding in December 2025. During its run, My Hero Academiaearned ample praise from critics and audiences alike for its characters, animation, music, and action sequences, and now, a special event will invite fans to dive deeper into Kouhei Horikoshi's world than ever before.

A number of unique events are taking place throughout 2026 to celebrate the series' 10th anniversary, with a new My Hero Academia anime episode set to release on August 3. Titled "I Am a Hero Too," the episode will adapt a manga chapter found in My Hero Academia: Ultra Age: The Final Fan Book, which shows an older Eri visiting U.A. High School. The Toho Animation YouTube channel is also hosting early episodes of My Hero Academia for free as part of the ongoing celebration. The festivities won't end any time soon, it seems, as a new exhibition promises to kick off 2027 with a bang.

My Hero Academia Anime 10th Anniversary Exhibition Coming in 2027

A 10th anniversary My Hero Academia exhibition, titled "OUR HERO," will be held in Tokyo from January 8 to February 7, 2027, and Osaka from March 5 to March 28, 2027, with a new key visual appearing along with the announcement. The event will feature numerous displays showcasing original production drawings and other visuals, along with 3D exhibits and video installations. Also teased were new life-sized figures being created for the event, with updates to appear on the official exhibition website and Twitter. Visitors will receive a special card with admission, and limited-edition merchandise will also be on sale during the event period.

The global popularity of My Hero Academia continues to be a driving force in the anime market, with Horikoshi's manga series selling over 100 million copies. This puts Izuku's adventure on par with other unforgettable series like Hunter x Hunter, Fist of the North Star, and Astro Boy, with its anime adaptation not falling far behind, having recently been awarded the Guinness World Record for most in-demand animated TV show in the world.

Fans in the US are also gearing up for the My Hero Academia concert tour slated to take place later in 2026. From September 12 to October 23, the event will travel to 30 locations in the United States, featuring a 15-piece live band. Attendees can expect to hear tracks from the entire series, and the most memorable moments will be shown on a huge screen behind the performers. Tickets are currently on sale at the official event website.

Beyond special events and new television specials, My Hero Academia fans have been treated to plenty of fresh merchandise lately, from themed apparel to one-of-a-kind woodblock prints. One of the most unexpected releases came in May, when the Japanese company Shobido revealed a My Hero Academia-themed emergency kit, packed with 16 useful items themed after the series' most popular characters.
