Amber Rose is suing an exclusive members-only social club in Los Angeles, alleging she was hospitalized after a holiday ornament fell on her head.
Rose, 42, filed the lawsuit on Tuesday, July 21, in the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles County. In the filing obtained by PEOPLE, the model alleged that she was spending New Year’s Eve 2024 at Gravitas in Beverly Hills and was seated in a booth underneath holiday ornaments of “solid, oversized decorative spheres,” including one that was suspended above her head.
“Without warning, the suspended sphere detached and fell onto Plaintiff’s head,” Rose’s complaint claims. “Plaintiff neither touched nor controlled the sphere or its mounting system and did not cause or contribute to its fall.”
Now, she is suing Gravitas, Moxie Restaurant Ventures, which operates the club, and Celios Designs, which the complaint claims was responsible for the installation of the large ornaments.
PEOPLE reached out to Gravitas and Celios Designs for comment.
Upon impact, Rose alleged she felt “dazed,” and claims the ornament caused “immediate head, neck, visual, vestibular, and neurologic symptoms, including a reported brief loss of consciousness or altered awareness, headache, dizziness, blurred vision, nausea, confusion, and neck pain,” prompting her to go to Cedars-Sinai for “emergency evaluation.”
Rose said she suffered several “vestibular, cognitive,” and sleep injuries from the alleged incident, as well as “cervical tenderness” and a concussion. She alleged her memory and concentration were impacted, and that she experienced “headaches, dizziness and vertigo, imbalance, visual disturbance, neck pain and stiffness” along with “anxiety, irritability, emotional distress, fatigue, and diminished tolerance for ordinary activities.”
She claims that Moxie and Celios oversaw the spheres, and further alleged they failed to properly inspect the oversized decor.

Rose also alleges in the lawsuit that the ornaments posed “a concealed and unreasonable risk of serious injury if it is not competently designed, attached, secured, tested, inspected, maintained, and, where reasonably required, backed by an appropriate secondary restraint.”
Rose is suing the company that operates Gravitas and Celios for “past and future economic damages according to proof, including reasonable medical, diagnostic, rehabilitation, therapy, assistive-care, household-service, incidental, lost- earnings, and loss-of-earning-capacity damages.”
The lawsuit also concludes she endured “physical pain, mental suffering, emotional distress, inconvenience, anxiety, and loss of enjoyment of life.”
