This Senna-honed early NSX now wears a heavy dose of JDM-inspired styling and backs it up with more than $35,000 in recent mechanical work.
When the Acura NSX debuted in 1990, it rewrote the rulebook for what an exotic sports car could be. Built around an all-aluminum chassis and tuned with input from Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna, the NSX combined everyday drivability with a level of precision that put established European rivals on notice. This 1991 example carries that pedigree into a heavily personalized build, and it's currently up for bids without reserve on Hagerty Marketplace.
The NSX on offer wears chassis number JH4NA115XMT002196 and shows 97,400 miles. It's a rear-wheel-drive coupe finished in Berlina Black over a black and red interior, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. According to the listing, the car spent its first two decades registered in Hawaii before later time in Arizona, and the current seller acquired it in 2010, making this a 16-year ownership.
Under the rear decklid sits the NSX's original 3.0-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 with a limited-slip differential, which the listing notes was good for an 8,000-rpm redline when new. On this car, the engine now breathes through Pride headers and a Comptech exhaust system. Suspension duties are handled by a Stanceparts Air Cup Kit up front and KW Variant 2 coilovers at the rear, while stopping power comes from aftermarket brakes with drilled rotors. Staggered 18-inch and 19-inch Rays Volk Racing GT-7 two-piece forged wheels round out the rolling stock.

Exterior modifications are extensive and give this NSX a distinct JDM-tuner presence. A Marga Hills front-end conversion leads the way, joined by a VIS carbon fiber front decklid with custom latches and a Pride Modulo-style carbon fiber rear wing. The car also features aftermarket side skirts, a rear bumper with diffuser, an NA2-style rear bumper and taillights, JDM fender indicators, and a butterfly-style door hinge conversion. The body has also received a ceramic coating.

Inside, the black and red theme continues with red Recaro fixed bucket seats secured by Braum four-point harnesses, along with red carpeting and floor mats. A MOMO steering wheel with a Honda "H" horn button sits on a Works Bell quick-disconnect hub, and the cabin has been further personalized with an aftermarket shift knob, white-face gauges, a Pioneer touchscreen head unit with a rearview camera, JBL speakers, and a ScienceofSpeed LCD screen.

On the documentation side, the seller reports more than $35,000 invested in mechanical servicing and recommissioning work performed at HQ Engineering in San Gabriel, California, in late 2021. The attached CARFAX Vehicle History Report also shows more recent work, including battery cable terminal replacement, a fuel injection system flush, and an oil and filter change in January 2026, along with a passed emissions inspection in February 2025. The CARFAX report notes a reported accident with front-end damage in April 2003, along with some cosmetic items disclosed by the seller: damaged and missing lower driver-side dashboard trim, a crack on the lower right portion of the front bumper, faded rubber and body cladding, an inoperable air conditioning system, wear on the armrest cover, and an inoperable horn button. The car is being sold with service records, the CARFAX report, and a clean California title in the seller's name.
