A modeling agent who introduced *** offender Jeffrey Epstein to girls and women has died in his home in France.

Daniel Siad, 69, was found dead in his home Monday, the deputy public prosecutor at the Nanterre Judicial Court told several outlets Wednesday. There is an investigation into his cause of death.

Siad is mentioned thousands of times in the Epstein files released by the Justice Department. In the files, Siad would often tell Epstein he had a model for Epstein to meet, along with photos and videos of the model. In one 2009 email, Siad described to Epstein a model who is 20 “but she looks younger.” In a 2017 email, Epstein told Siad that one 25-year-old woman is “too old” for him, according to CNN.

The files also show Epstein paid tens of thousands of dollars to Siad.

Those emails were sent after 2008, the year Epstein was sentenced to prison after he pleaded guilty to felony solicitation of prostitution of a minor.

In February, Ebba P. Karlsson, a former model, accused Siad of raping her in 1990. She wrote Wednesday on Instagram that she was “upset” to hear about Siad’s death because “we were so close to arresting him.”

“I hope there will be a thorough investigation,” Karlsson wrote.

Siad was never charged with any crime.

Siad denied the allegation in a June interview with CNN. He told the outlet that he believed Epstein was a casting director for Victoria’s Secret and he was “very professional” with him. Siad said he never heard anything bad about Epstein from the models whom he introduced him to.

Siad told CNN that he regretted ever meeting Epstein, but he defended working with him after his 2008 conviction, saying Epstein was a free man when they worked together.

“How can a government of the United States let this person out from jail? How,” Siad told CNN last month.

Siad added: “He was such a powerful person and how can I not trust him?”
