An anti-ICE agitator who threw a chunk of cinder block at a federal agent during a violent riot in the Los Angeles area last year was sentenced to nearly a year in federal prison for the attack, The California Post has learned.
Jacob Daniel Terrazas, 30, will serve 10 months for striking a US Border Patrol agent with a piece of concrete during a June 2025 protest near Homeland Security Investigations offices in Paramount, under the terms of a plea agreement reached Tuesday.
Terrazas wore a mask to conceal his identity and used a shield and trees for cover in the chaotic protest that lasted for more than three hours. He was one of several protesters who threw rocks and cinder blocks at federal agents, according to court papers.
Los Angeles’ top federal prosecutor Bill Essayli said the imprisonment of Terrazas should send a message to anybody who seeks to harm federal agents.
“We were clear that if you attack federal agents you will be facing time in federal prison,” he told The Post. “Today’s sentence delivers on that promise to hold those accountable who dare to interfere or attack federal agents. Don’t do it.”

Prosecutors said Terrazas threw several pieces of concrete at law enforcement, with one of those hitting a Border Patrol agent in the shin and resulting in a bloody gash.
The injured agent removed himself from the frontlines to tend to his injury but returned after realizing he could still walk and stand.
Another Border Patrol agent was struck by rocks but was uninjured.
Terrazas repeatedly rushed toward agents to throw remnants of the cinder block at them, using both a makeshift shield and nearby trees for cover.
Eventually, an agent in tactical gear rushed Terrazas and tackled him to the ground before he was arrested.
Video of the melee (below) shows the agents arresting Terrazas as he throws shopping carts at them, while other protesters close in on the group.
“Stay back!” one agent is heard shouting.
Law enforcement used less-lethal force pepper bells against Terrazas and other rock throwers.
Terrazas remains in federal custody.
