The Mariners have won three straight to climb back above .500 and retake the lead in the AL West. They’ll look to make it a streak on Tuesday. It might be a tough task. The Mariners are without J.P. Crawford again after he was a late scratch Monday with wrist soreness. Julio is also out of the lineup after he pulled in the sixth inning Monday, though it’s still unclear why. Dan Wilson said both players are day to day.
Unfortunately, the Mariners will take this shortened lineup to face the exceptional Chase Burns, who just signed a seven-year, $105 million contract last week. He is very good with only two pitches, as our Jake Mailhot explained in the series preview. Luis Castillo faces him for the Mariners.
