SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Shreveport Police Department’s Domestic Violence Unit is seeking the public’s help in locating 30-year-old Devante Abbington.
Abbington is wanted in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident that occurred in the 4300 block of North Market Street, where a woman reported being physically assaulted.
Police say three young children were present during the incident, and investigators found that Abbington has a prior domestic abuse battery conviction involving the same victim.
After reviewing surveillance video, obtaining witness statements, and documenting injuries consistent with the victim’s account, an arrest warrant was issued for Abbington. He faces one count of Domestic Abuse Battery, Second Offense, and three counts of Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment.
