TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Disney visitor died after suffering a cardiac emergency on one of the park’s rides, according to a report from the Florida Department of Agriculture.
The MOU Exempt Facilities Report, which is released quarterly, includes injuries reported by Florida theme parks that required a 24-hour hospital stay. The reports are done voluntarily by the parks.
In the second quarter of 2026, months April through July, nine health incidents were reported at Disney World and Universal Studios.
Among these was a 54-year-old man who had a cardiac emergency while on the “It’s a Small World” ride on April 24, 2026.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he died. The report stated he had a preexisting condition before getting on the ride.
Another Disney World visitor who was injured was a 41-year-old woman who hit her head while riding the Snow Stormers attraction on April 6. She suffered from a laceration and survived.
No injuries were reported at SeaWorld Orlando, Busch Gardens, or Legoland in the second quarter.
