MAGA activist Charles R. Downs took to X on Wednesday to accuse Rep. Sarah McBride (D-DE) of aggressively fleeing from his questioning — but McBride had a ready retort.
Downs, who works for far-right White House confidante Laura Loomer, took the additional potshot of misgendering McBride and suggesting her gender identity was making her behave erratically.

"Wow, Sarah McBride (@SarahEMcBride) slammed the elevator in my face after I asked him to apologize for saying ICE agents are murderers," said Downs. "The anger must be the hormones or something. But Congressional Democrats refusing to apologize for their rhetoric as ICE agents are under attack proves Dems are too immature to control Congress. Stay tuned for this video."
McBride shortly responded to clarify that's not actually how any of this went down.

"They’re elevator doors, and they’re automatic," she said. "Also, when you ask questions, don’t mumble so members can actually understand the words you are saying."
All of this comes as Immigration and Customs Enforcement comes under a fresh wave of public outrage after killings of locals in Maine and Texas.
