Golf fans hoping to experience the Ryder Cup in ultimate luxury will be able to swap hotel rooms for a five-star cruise ship when the tournament rolls into Adare Manor in 2027.
A luxury liner will be transformed into a floating hotel during the sporting spectacle, with the vessel set to berth at Foynes Port throughout the event to accommodate hundreds of visitors expected to descend on Counties Limerick and Clare.
The Oceania Marina, which boasts room for up to 1,230 passengers across 615 cabins and suites, will serve as premium accommodation while Europe and the USA battle it out for golf’s biggest team prize.
Guests booking the exclusive package won’t just get a luxury cabin. The trip also includes gourmet dining on board, daily transport between Foynes and Adare Manor, and four days of Ryder Cup access.
The ticket covers the opening practice day, the official opening ceremony and all three days of competition.
Those looking to make a holiday of it can also join the ship in Southampton before it sails to Ireland, with the voyage lasting 10 days before returning to England after the tournament.
But the luxury experience comes with a hefty price tag.
Packages start at around €8,800 per person, while the most exclusive options soar to an eye-watering €33,900.
With hotel rooms across the region expected to be in huge demand when the Ryder Cup comes to Ireland, the floating five-star hotel could prove one of the most sought-after places to stay for golf’s biggest week.
