NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — New Haven Mayor Justin Elicker attended Wednesday’s Family Fun Day, but if you missed the event, there are more to come.
This week’s Family Fun Day was at Clinton Ave School, where Elicker joined the New Haven Youth and Recreation Department and families throughout Elm City in games, food and free activities.
Family Fun Days are weekly events in New Haven, and Wednesday’s summer celebration was No. 3 out of the six being held this season. The days always from 2:30-5:30 p.m., and are held at varying locations across the city’s parks and schools.
Children of all ages can play games and jump inside bouncy houses, and the whole family can enjoy food and live music. Staff from city departments — including police and the New Haven Free Public Library — attend as well.
The remaining Family Fun Day are at the following locations:
- July 29: Ross Woodward Park
- Aug. 5: Bassett School Park
- Aug. 12: Goffe Street Park
The rain dates are scheduled the following day on Thursdays, at the same time of 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
