Lindsie Chrisley has broken her silence two months after her arrest.
Chrisley, 36, was arrested in Georgia on May 24 for alleged DUI less safe, attempting to elude police, improper passing, reckless driving and speeding, according to records obtained by PEOPLE. (In Georgia, DUI less safe means that an individual can face charges of driving under the influence even if their blood alcohol concentration is below 0.08%.)
She reunited with her podcast co-host, Kailyn Lowry, for a two-episode release where she addressed the arrest.
The Chrisley Knows Best star read a pre-prepared statement in full on the episode because “I don’t want anything to be missed or misinterpreted,” she said.
“Over the last five years, I have experienced some of the most challenging, traumatic, and transformative moments of my life. From family estrangement, divorce, navigating legal matters to deeply personal challenges, much of the last several years of my life have unfolded in ways that I could have never predicted‚ and all under intense and ongoing scrutiny through a very public lens.”
“I have faced circumstances that have tested my strength, my relationships with people that I love and respect and with God. My sense of self, my mental health and well-being have been challenged in ways that cannot be measured. Through those experiences and unique challenges, I have learned that I can no longer do this alone or in silence. I’ve learned that I do not have to put on a brave face and pretend like all of these things aren’t a giant weight that I carry.”
“I’m determined to be a stronger, more self-aware, resilient, accountable, and authentic person for those around me, my loved ones, and my child,” she continued. Chrisley shares a 13-year-old son, Jackson, with her ex-husband Will Campbell.
“As I move into this next chapter, my focus is not on revisiting what has brought me to this point, but on embracing what I have learned from it. I am grateful for the lessons, committed to continued growth, and looking forward to what lies ahead.”
She said that she took time away following the May arrest to “make changes in my life that need to be made and to positively direct myself and reflect,” as she called the arrest a “hard stop moment.”
“I’ve taken this very seriously. I have to focus on, at this point, moving forward, growing and letting the legal process run its course and respecting that process,” she added of the arrest.
“S--- needs to be gotten in order, because you cannot continue going down the path of operating off of heartbreak and betrayal and lack of confidence. You cannot continue carrying that every single day because I’m just going to sit in it, and I think I’ve sat in it long enough.”

Prior to the podcast episode, Chrisley had only shared a brief statement with TMZ about the arrest.
“I got pulled over speeding past a car on a two-lane road because they almost hit an animal and I was trying to miss hitting them and whatever the animal was,” she said at the time, noting that she planned to “fight the charge.”
