LeBron James got "irritated" by something Adam Silver said? He's just like us, everyone!

These days, it's probably harder to find an NBA fan who actually likes Adam Silver rather than the other way around. The league's commissioner tends to put his foot in his mouth when he speaks; he handles important investigations into scandals at a glacial pace; he makes sweeping changes to the NBA in seemingly knee-jerk reactions he may or may not have gleaned from social media's (toxic) reactivity. You could see why someone who loves the league would be pretty irritated with how Silver runs the whole operation.

And you could count LeBron James among the people who apparently have a bone to pick with the commissioner.

According to Andy Baskin of 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland, James' camp was "irritated" by Silver saying he "needs" James to make a decision on a new team as soon as possible because he will undoubtedly be a huge part of next season's NBA schedule, wherever he plays. This comment did not sit well with James or his people, who may have delayed his free-agent decision another week out of a petty "James will make this decision when he wants to and when he wants to alone" thought process.

Because of course:

While this reported tidbit didn't come directly from James, the other interpretation of this supposed annoyance with Silver could be the living NBA legend trying to hang him out to dry in public. I don't see any real reason to believe James pushed his decision back because of one comment from the commissioner on the situation. It feels like the kind of thing where James wasn't actually close to picking his new team yet and decided to take an easy opportunity to throw Silver under the bus for what he believes was an attempt to rush him.

That, of course, would be a very amusing interpretation of the situation. It would be James and his people being spiteful for the sake of it. Nonetheless, here's hoping we get some sort of decision/resolution from James soon. It's clear folks aren't doing well with the extended wait.

What is the latest update on LeBron James' decision?

Bad news for Philadelphia 76ers fans. That "process" comment you recently heard from James was not a validation of how the 76ers operate, per James' agent, Rich Paul. It doesn't mean the 76ers are out of the James sweepstakes, though.

DETROIT (AP) — The strained relationship between the U.S. and Canada is spoiling the celebration of an extraordinary project between the two countries: a new six-lane bridge named for a famous Canadian who played hockey for the Detroit Red Wings. After years of planning and billions of dollars in construction, the Gordie Howe International Bridge i...
