Rep. Lauren Boebert suggested Wednesday that the 1969 Apollo 11 Moon landing was staged, saying, "I think it was done in an Amazon warehouse. Oh, they didn't have those then. A different warehouse." When a MeidasTouch reporter Pablo Manríquez followed up by asking whether she was convinced the United States landed on the Moon, Boebert replied, "I'm not convinced of half the things government tells us. Have a great day."
The comments came one day after the anniversary of the first Moon landing. NASA's Apollo 11 mission landed Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on the Moon on July 20, 1969. Boebert's rhetoric echoes conspiracy theorist who often claim that the moon landings were staged in a movie studio.
Boebert's remarks continue a pattern of public skepticism. During a 2025 appearance on Blaze TV's Prime Time with Alex Stein, Boebert questioned the Apollo missions, saying, "Have we been beyond the Van Allen Radiation Belt? Maybe? If so, I would like to know why it's taken so long to get back through it again."
