'It Ends' is a horror movie about a road that ironically doesn't do that

Liminal spaces are so hot right now, guys. I hope you're ready for the surge of movies about being trapped in weird, unexplainable places we're going to see in the next few years now that Backrooms is a proven money maker. Until the studios flock to the next Reddit meme, that is - I'm predicting we'll see Am I The Asshole: The Movie before the decade is out.

Granted, NEON's It Ends is not part of that trend - it's been caught up in the search for a distributor for a while now; too long to be a hasty copycat - but it does get to benefit from it! It tells the story of four friends who get trapped on an endless road, which is either a metaphor for stagnation or an honest depiction of what road-tripping through rural America feels like.

And imagine all the money they saved on set design. I'm always a sucker for a tightly-constructed, dialogue-heavy thriller, which this will basically have to be to be any good.
