Mentari Therapeutics, a privately held biotechnology enterprise dedicated to preventing migraines, has successfully secured an additional $200 million through a new private placement.

The private placement is scheduled to finalize immediately before Mentari completes its planned corporate merger with InMed Pharmaceuticals, Inc. INM.

Furthermore, the transaction will close concurrently with a previously announced initial private placement totaling $290 million, bringing massive capital into the newly formed entity.

The substantial capital injection from prominent healthcare investors is specifically aimed at advancing the company’s robust portfolio of targeted biological treatments designed to enhance patient outcomes.

Extending Financial Runway

The newly acquired funds will provide the biotechnology firm with a significant financial cushion, officially extending its operational cash runway well into the year 2029.

The extended financial timeline is critical, as it ensures the company can comfortably navigate through the Phase 2a clinical trial readouts for its two primary PACAP-targeted programs, which notably include its lead candidate, MT-002, alongside its broader development pipeline.

Post-Merger Corporate Structure

Following the successful closing of the corporate merger and both private financing rounds, the combined organization will retain the Mentari Therapeutics name and shift to trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market under a new ticker symbol.

The unified company anticipates having approximately 601,195,812 shares, calculated on an as-converted and as-exercised basis.

INM Stock Price Activity: InMed Pharmaceuticals shares were up 15.26% at $1.77 at the time of publication on Wednesday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
