The 24-year-old has been a huge reason for the team’s success, as she is sixth in the league in scoring at 20.7 points a night and second in assists at 7.8, just behind Alyssa Thomas from Phoenix Mercury.
On Tuesday, July 21, the league’s Player of the Week awards for Week 9 went to Kayla McBride for the Western Conference and Clark for the Eastern Conference. It’s the second time Clark has grabbed the honor this season, as she also won it back in Week 5 in mid-June. That makes sense for a three-time All-Star having the year she’s been having.

Clark’s got some serious help in Indiana. Her teammates Aliyah Boston (17.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, 1.2 blocks) and Kelsey Mitchell (23.3 points, 2.8 assists) are forming a “Big Three” with her, and all three are heading to Chicago as Fever starters for the WNBA’s 30th anniversary All-Star Game on Saturday, July 25. Clark’s already the reigning Player of the Month for June, and the Dowling Catholic product keeps racking up more accolades as the season goes on.
Over three games, Clark put up 25.0 points a night on 43.5% shooting, dishing out 7.7 assists and pulling down 2.3 boards. The Fever took to social media to highlight her week, with the centerpiece being her 45-point, 10-assist masterclass in a 110-107 win over Seattle on July 17, the kind of performance that reminds everyone why the 6-foot guard is still one of the league’s most electric players.
Clark, the 2024 Rookie of the Year, absolutely went off in that game. In just 29 minutes, she put up career and franchise highs in scoring, became the first player in WNBA or NBA history to put up 45 points and 10 assists in fewer than 30 minutes, and accounted for 65 total points—the most any player’s ever scored in a single WNBA game.
Interestingly, Clark is sitting out the 3-point contest at this year’s All-Star weekend in Chicago on Friday, July 24. She got the invite but passed on it, according to ESPN’s Alexa Philippou. And she’s not alone—Sabrina Ionescu from the Knicks and Kayla McBride from Minnesota declined too.
Clark got the ask for the 3-point contest but just wasn’t feeling it this year. She will be out there as a starter in the All-Star Game itself, though. No drama, no behind-the-scenes stuff; she just decided to sit the shootout out.
With Boston and Mitchell flanking Clark on either side, the Fever have enough firepower to contend for a title, and Clark already has proven she realizes this larger context. This is just the beginning for this young lady and the Fever, especially with Clark set to compete in the All-Star Game.
