PowerPlus models receive limited edition paint finishes
Indian Motorcycle announced a new Signature Series collection of models featuring special paint schemes. The collection, for 2026 at least, will consist of Indian's PowerPlus baggers and tourers, each featuring a multi-layered paint process and hand-finished details.
The 2026 Signature Series includes the Chieftain PowerPlus and Challenger baggers in darker colors with blacked-out engines and exhaust systems while the Roadmaster PowerPlus and Pursuit models with more chrome and brighter red, white, and blue color schemes in recognition of America's 250th anniversary.
The multiple layers creates a paint scheme with increased clarity and contrast compared to regular processes, with colors shifting with the light and viewing angle.
Mechanically speaking, the Signature Series bikes are the same as the regular production models, but they do come with the upgraded PowerBand audio package offered on higher-trim models. For the Challenger and Chieftain PowerPlus baggers, this means a 400-watt audio system, while the Pursuit and Roadmaster PowerPlus touring models receive a 600-watt system to take advantage of the two additional speakers in the trunk.
The Signature Series appears to be a replacement for the Elite models Indians offered in previous years, before Polaris Industries sold majority control to Carolwood LP. The Elite series also featured special paint schemes and upgraded audio system, and in some years, electronically-controlled Fox suspension, but that has since become standard on a few models and trims. Indian now uses the "Elite" branding for a new premium membership offering exclusive deals and free shipping.
