Fortnite Runners is all about Sprites, and players around the world are jumping in every day to find every Sprite and get them Mastered to earn rewards. While a lot of these Sprites are pretty common, some are incredibly rare. However, the rarest Sprite has to be the Pollo Sprite, which players can get by eliminating Pollo himself. Here's how to get the Pollo Sprite in Fortnite.
How to Get the Pollo Sprite in Fortnite
To get the Pollo Sprite, players will need to find and eliminate pro player and FNCS winner Pollo (Miguel Moreno) during his stream commencing on Saturday, July 18, at 2 PM CST / 3 PM ET. Pollo plays on the NA Central server region, and if you are lucky enough to find him and take him down while he's carrying the Sprite, you will still have to extract it.
Once some players have extracted the Pollo Sprite, it will likely start appearing on other servers. As such, over time, players can get the Pollo Sprite through either trading or being lucky enough to eliminate a player who already has it, which will become increasingly common as the Sprite spreads throughout the community.
It has also been reported that the Pollo Sprite is a possible drop from the Sprite Locator Chest and Lucky Locator Chest. The chance of the Pollo Sprite dropping from the Sprite Locator is currently set to 1.01%, but it has not been enabled in the loot pool just yet. We will update this guide once this changes. As such, the Lucky Locator will also provide a chance to get the Pollo Sprite when it arrives later this season.
To sum up, here are all the ways to get the Pollo Sprite in Fortnite:
- Eliminate Pollo during his livestream on July 18 at 2 PM CST
- Eliminate another player carrying the Pollo Sprite
- Trade with other players carrying the Pollo Sprite
- Use the Sprite Locator (Pollo Sprite not enabled yet)
- Use the Lucky Locator (arriving later this season)
The Pollo Sprite will be found in Chests and Sprite Chests the following week, likely on Thursday, July 23 at 9 AM ET. I'll provide an update when this happens.
What Does the Pollo Sprite Do in Fortnite?
The Pollo Sprite basically functions as a better version of the Demon Sprite. Its effect is as follows: upon getting an elimination, it slowly replenishes shields for you and nearby squad members for a duration. The length of time that you and your squad regain shields depends on the Pollo Sprite's level. This is as follows:
- Level 1: 6 Seconds
- Level 2: 7 Seconds
- Level 3: 8 Seconds
- Level 4: 9 Seconds
- Level 5: 10 Seconds
