The Netflix catalog is heating up this summer, with July signaling the arrival of some of the year's most anticipated movies and shows. A brand-new adaptation of Little House on the Prairie by Rebecca Sonnenshine, who penned 2025's The Housemaid, is proving an enormous hit alongside the latest adaptation from bestselling author Harlan Coben, I Will Find You. They face competition from a pair of comedic veterans, with The Hawk created by Will Ferrell, Harper Steele, and Chris Henchy, releasing this week alongside yet another comedy from Kevin Hart titled 72 Hours, which arrives next week.
But it is on the movie charts where one of the month's biggest hits arrived, with the return of Millie Bobby Brown's Enola Holmes and her brother Sherlock (Henry Cavill) for an adventure-heavy third installment. Although critics weren't impressed, with Collider's David Caballero awarding the film a 5/10 in his review, saying, "For anyone looking for a meaty mystery with dynamic characters and an unpredictable plot, the movie won't meet their expectations," there is no doubting the movie's success on the streaming charts.
It was reported last week that Enola Holmes 3 had accumulated an impressive20.7 million views in its first five days, becoming the most-watched title on Netflix during the week of June 29 to July 5. A couple of weeks after it arrived and, although the threequel is still popular, it has officially lost its spot on the top of the Netflix global streaming charts to the true-crime effortShipwrecked: Nightmare at Sea.
Netflix's Next Big Movie Arrives This Weekend
Enola Holmes 3's time as the most-watched movie on Netflix could well and truly be over this weekend, courtesy of the arrival of the long-awaited Heartstopper Forever, the feature-length final chapter in Nick (Kit Connor) and Charlie's (Joe Locke) young love story. Fan favorite faces from the series also return, including William Gao, Yasmin Finney, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Tobie Donovan, Jenny Walser, RheaNorwood, and Leila Khan, with Wash Westmoreland of Still Alice fame directing.
Enola Holmes 3 and Shipwrecked: Nightmare at Sea are both available to stream on Netflix now. Stay tuned to Collider for all the latest stories.
