The STRICT-G lifestyle brand, alongside SPIEWAK, is re-releasing its popular Gundam Wing jacket hoodie, which is based on the anime's iconic movie finale. Evoking the military style of SPIEWAK's history, it's a stylish way to celebrate 30 years. Unfortunately, it's proven to be quite the hot commodity, so fans might end up undergoing their own "endless waltz" to get one.

The STRICT-G x SPIEWAK Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz HEERO YUY MODEL L-2 HOODIE combines military-level style with anime branding, and it's all inspired by one of the most iconic Gundam anime ever.
Made as a collaboration between Gundam lifestyle brand STRICT-G and American military clothing brand SPIEWAK, it was originally released in 2025 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Gundam Wing. It's specifically meant to evoke protagonist Heero Yuy as he appears in Endless Waltz, the film conclusion to the anime's story. Using nylon heavy twill, the jacket has a hood that's completely removable, meaning it can be worn throughout the year.
The hoodie bears a military-style patch that further reflects Heero, and the inside has an image of the Wing Gundam Zero. This iconic mecha was Heero's signature mobile suit in the anime, and its design has since been represented through countless Gundam plastic model kits and other collectibles. Those who order soon to purchase the jacket will even receive an acrylic standee featuring an original illustration of Heero looking coy while wearing the jacket himself.
Priced at US$369 on websites such as Premium Bandai, pre-orders for the jacket remain open until Aug. 10, 2026, at 10:59 a.m. EDT, with the jacket itself due to ship out in September.
Released in 1995, New Mobile Report Gundam Wing was the second "alternate universe" Gundam anime. Like the unrelated Mobile Fighter G Gundam that came right before it, the anime was set outside the classic Universal Century timeline and instead took place in the After Colony timeline.
Unlike G Gundam, however, its story and concepts were far closer to what the franchise was known for, and it was especially popular given its cast of young male leads. It gained a massive following in the West, where it was the first Gundam anime to be localized. Since then, it's remained incredibly beloved and recognizable across the world, despite the relative lack of any further entries or sequels.
