We covered a possible Garmin Cirqa design leak just yesterday, but now a much more convincing set of images has arrived a matter of hours before a possible launch.
The images show a fabric band design much closer to rivals like the Fitbit Air and Whoop band, with a module mostly hidden from view underneath. This is a stark difference to the rubber band with a visible module in the previous leak.
We can see the Cirqa in four different colours: Beige, Black, Blue and Red thanks to Reddit user jneuveglise. It will reportedly come in two sizes and the module clearly says ‘Cirqa Smart Band’ with a Garmin logo on the side as well as on the band.

What we can learn from the images
Thanks to all the different angles available, there’s a lot we can learn from the leaked images, including a good idea of the specs and features of the fitness tracker.
We can see that the screenless module will be removable via quick-release spring bars so you can take it out and charge it more easily or move to another strap. Talking of charging, it looks to use Garmin’s standard four-pin system, which will be a boon to those who already have chargers lying around.
The battery might also be easily removed and replaced, going by the Torx screws at the corners of the module on the back.

Unlike the Fitbit Air, it looks like the Cirqa comes with a physical button on the side. This could be used to check battery level (there seems to be a small LED on the side next to the Garmin logo) as well as possibly starting workouts.
On the back are reportedly Garmin’s older Elevate 4 sensors rather than the Elevate 5 ones found on the Sleep Index Monitor. This means the Cirqa won’t feature ECG, but the thinking is that it keeps the price down while still tracking core metrics like heart rate, sleep and movement.
The price and release date
For a while it was thought the Garmin Cirqa would launch with an eye-watering price, almost five times that of the £84/$99 Fitbit Air, but more recent information suggests it will be a more affordable £179/$199.
It’s unknown whether a Garmin Connect+ subscription will be required to access particular data and features like personalised insights.
All this news comes potentially a matter of hours before Garmin could officially reveal the Cirqa smart band. July has long been tipped as the launch month and now today is hotly anticipated as the day Garmin will make its big reveal.
