Freddy Brazier’s grandmother Jackiey Budden was reportedly attacked by his dog just days before the same animal left the reality star needing hospital treatment.
The 21-year-old son of Jeff Brazier and the late Big Brother star Jade Goody was rushed to hospital on Sunday after being bitten by his beloved dog Pablo, suffering injuries that reportedly required stitches.
A representative for Freddy confirmed yesterday to Metro that he is receiving treatment for his injuries. ‘Freddy is currently being treated, we will keep everyone updated on his recovery,’ they said.
It has now emerged that the attack was allegedly the second involving the dog in less than a week.
According to the Daily Mail, police and firefighters were called to Jackiey’s south-east London home on July 16 after neighbours heard screams and feared she was being seriously injured by Pablo.
The publication reports that Jackiey required medical treatment after the dog bit her, although no criminal action was taken following the incident.
Just four days later, Pablo allegedly attacked again when Freddy was visiting his grandmother’s home.
Sources previously told The Sun that Freddy was left in considerable pain after the dog, which he has described on Instagram as a ‘pocket bully’, turned on him.
‘Freddy was shocked when it happened and was left in a lot of pain,’ a source claimed.
Jackiey is also believed to have been injured for a second time while trying to pull Pablo away from her grandson during Sunday’s attack.
Now, a source has told The Sun: ‘It’s been a shocking few days. During the first incident Jackiey was home alone and she was mauled – on this occasion one of her panicked neighbours raised the alarm.
‘Both the police and the fire brigade attended, but fortunately it wasn’t too serious, and they agreed not to pursue criminal charges.
‘But a few days later the incident was repeated, and this time it was worse. Freddy came back to take Pablo but got caught up in it all as the dog was clearly still frenzied.’
Freddy has previously shared glimpses of life with Pablo on social media, with the dog frequently appearing in photos and videos.
The source added that Freddy initially attended A&E before leaving because of long waiting times, but later returned for further treatment as his injuries could no longer be ignored.
‘It’s been an awful few days and Freddy is devastated as he absolutely adores that dog and Pablo is a huge part of the family,’ they said.
The incident comes after Pablo reportedly played a role in the breakdown of Freddy’s relationship with ex-girlfriend Holly Swinburn.
Freddy and Holly, 22, welcomed daughter Isla Jade together in March this year before splitting soon afterward, with previous reports claiming Holly had tried to convince Freddy to get rid of the dog during a heated argument before their relationship ended.
Freddy has often shared photos and videos of Pablo on social media and has previously spoken about his love of dogs, once telling followers he preferred them to people.
‘People are draining, dogs are healing!’ he wrote beneath a post from a dog daycare centre where he had been helping out.
The reality TV personality has been in the public eye since childhood following the death of his mother, Jade Goody, from cervical cancer in 2009.
In recent years, he has appeared on Celebrity Race Across the World with dad Jeff Brazier and has spoken openly about navigating grief and family life.
