Toniebox figures come as plenty of favorite characters, from Disney to Dr. Seuss, but we've all been waiting very patiently for one particular dog family to join the audio box family. And big news: Bluey Tonies are here! They're available on the Tonies website and at Target, as of today.
What is a Toniebox?
A Toniebox is a screen-free, audio-only storytelling machine for kids from toddlers on up. The content comes from figures that you buy—so for instance, a Moana Tonie will tell Moana stories and play music from the movies.
There are hundreds of Tonies available. I recently reviewed the Toniebox and YOTO storytelling toys with the help of my youngest niece. If your child doesn't own a Toniebox yet, there's now a Starter Set available with the three new Bluey figures.
What else to expect from Toniebox x Bluey
Bluey is a juggernaut in the toy world. There are already Bluey Legos and a Crayola Bluey Art Case, but this is the first lineup of Bluey goods in the Tonie world. If your kid already has a Toniebox, you can get them a set of three figures: Bluey, sister Bingo, and cousin Muffin. Each plays separate content including a story adventure and a few “trifficult” moments to overcome.
And if you're not familiar with the new Tonieplay games: They provide prompts for your child to play independently with a Toniebox by doing more than listening to a story. For instance, with Tonieplay Bluey, kids can dance, play a game of Keepy Uppy, or listen to a story that requires kids to join in and help it along.
Finally, there are accessories like a Bluey-themed carry case. There is also a bundled set that includes a Toniebox, the figures, the Tonieplay game top, and the carry case all for $276—for a Bluey superfan who might also be new to the Tonies world!
