Five mountaineers named to Shriners Children’s East-West Bowl 1,000

Five members of West Virginia football were named to the 2026 Sriners Children’s East-West Bowl 1,000 list, released Wednesday afternoon.

Those five are running back Cam Cook, defensive lineman Zeke Durham-Campbell and offensive linemen Wes King, Nick Krahe and Landen Livingston. The list includes 1,000 players for this upcoming college football season who are eligible to play in the annual East-West Bowl, which will be played Feb. 4, 2027 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas.

The nation’s leading rusher last season, the Mountaineers added Cook this offseason from Jacksonville State, where he put up 1,659 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns. He also caught 30 passes for 286 receiving yards.

Durham-Campbell, a Coastal Carolina transfer, posted 5.5 sacks and eight tackles for loss with two forced fumbles for the Chanticleers last year.

King started 33 games at Wyoming over the last three seasons before transferring to WVU this offseason. He started all 12 games at left guard last year for the Cowboys.

Livingston, entering his fifth season as a Mountaineer, started 11 games at center last season and has played in 21 games in his career. Krahe started every game at tackle last season for West Virginia and has played in 26 career games.

Texas Tech led the Big 12 with 27 selections on the East-West Bowl 1,000 list. Colorado and TCU each had 12, while Arizona State, Baylor, BYU and UCF had 11 each.
