Fuji Dream Airlines and Embraer have announced at the Farnborough International Airshow 2026 a previously undisclosed order for two examples of the Embraer E175. The Japanese carrier's commitment was already part of the Brazilian regional jet manufacturer's backlog, but, until now, it had been listed as an undisclosed customer. Embraer has also announced 20 Embraer E195-E2 orders from the Abra Group.
These are supplemented by another five commitments to the type by Spanish regional carrier Binter Canarias, while Luxair has put its name down for three units of the smaller E190-E2 model. Embraer's commercial success at the 2026 Farnborough Airshow underlines the continued importance of regional aviation in the modern airline sector. Elsewhere, Azorra has signed an MoU for up to 30 freighters.
Repeat Orders Underline Embraer's Momentum

Binter and Luxair are both established E2 customers, demonstrating the degree of confidence operators have in Embraer's newest E-jet. Binter, based in the Canary Islands, was the first European operator to fly the E195-E2 when it received its first plane in 2019 — it deploys the E195-E2 across its interisland routes and international services, which include flights to West Africa.
Luxair took delivery of its first E195-E2 in November 2025, but the smaller E190-E2 will be a brand-new type to join its fleet once deliveries begin. Its three E190-E2s were converted from rights held under earlier contracts and introduce the smaller E2 variant to its fleet.
Embraer delivered 30 commercial aircraft in the first half of 2026, comprising 16 E175s, five E190-E2s and nine E195-E2s, and is targeting 80 to 85 deliveries for the full year against a record backlog. At the heart of its momentum is the E2 family, which competes at the smaller end of the single-aisle market against the Airbus A220. Recent orders include 18 E195-E2s from Finnair and up to 100 jets from Avelo Airlines, and the program has now passed 500 cumulative orders.
Azorra Signs For Up To 30 E-Freighters

Embraer and Florida-based lessor Azorra have also announced an MoU covering up to 30 E-freighters. This agreement involves both the E190F and E195F, the passenger-to-freighter conversions of Embraer's jets. The deal builds on the pre-existing relationship between the two after Azorra firmed up a further 15 E195-E2 passenger jets in June to reach 54 E2 aircraft on order, making it one of Embraer's largest E2 customers.
In March 2026, the first of Embraer's converted E-freighters entered service with launch customer Bridges Air Cargo. Launching the program in 2022, the manufacturer designed these jets to bridge the gap between large turboprops and conventional narrowbody freighters, such as the Boeing 737. It states that an E-freighter offers 40% more volume and three times the range of large turboprop equivalents.
Embraer Secures 4 Big Deals On Day 2 Of Farnborough 2026

Brazilian planemaker Embraer has confirmed 30 firm regional jet orders spread across four customers, spanning both the current-generation E-Jet and the E-Jet E2 families. The commitments came from Latin American airline group Abra — which includes Avianca and GOL — Spanish airline Binter, Luxembourg flag carrier Luxair and Japan's Fuji Dream Airlines, and were unveiled during a late-morning briefing led by Embraer Commercial Aviation President and CEO Arjan Meijer.
The largest order comes from Abra, which has ordered 20 E195-E2s, followed by five E195-E2s for Binter and three E190-E2s for Luxair. Along with the firm commitments for 28 aircraft, there are a further 30 options across these three deals, increasing the potential total order to 58 aircraft.
Fuji Dream Airlines' two E175s will be configured in a single-class, 84-seat layout, with deliveries scheduled for 2027 and 2028. The order expands the Japanese carrier's all-Embraer fleet of 15 aircraft — two E170s and thirteen E175s — that it has operated since launching in 2009.
