Ella Langley proved the show really does have to go on after nearly suffering a major wardrobe malfunction in front of thousands of fans over the weekend.
The 27-year-old country star was opening for Morgan Wallen in Baltimore when disaster struck just two songs into her set. Taking to her Instagram Stories the following day, Langley revealed just how close she came to an embarrassing onstage moment.
"Yesterday my entire dress came unzipped on song #2 in a 60 minute set in the pouring rain in a stadium full of people," she wrote.
But rather than letting it derail the performance, Langley quickly improvised. She threw on an oversized Baltimore Ravens jersey over her damaged dress and continued performing, earning cheers from the crowd. The purple jersey covered the unzipped gown while allowing part of her pink fringed skirt to peek out underneath.
“Quick fix for a zipper malfunction— L♥️VE me some Ella,” one fan wrote on TikTok.
“An icon.” another said, while a third replied, “love it.”
Others weren’t so keen on the jersey choice.
“Just lost a fan here. Steelers for Life!,” one quipped.
“Ella i used to love you until you put that jersey on GO STEELERS,” said another.
"No one, NO ONE chooses Baltimore," one replied.
The mishap came during an especially exciting stretch in Langley's career. Fresh off a chart-topping run and in the middle of her Dandelion Tour, the singer has been celebrating several major milestones on the road. After another recent stop in Hamilton, she reflected on the tour's success by sharing a series of photos on Instagram alongside the caption, "The biggest show of The Dandelion Tour so far," adding, "Thank you, Hamilton!"
Fans who haven't been able to catch Langley on the road yet will soon have another chance. The singer recently announced a 21-date fall extension of The Dandelion Tour, with the second leg kicking off August 20 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, before wrapping up on October 31 in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
