Kaylee Hottle's fatal car crash happened due to 'excessive speed'

Gonzalez was seen as Maia Simmons in the 2021 film while Hottle was seen as Jia — a deaf orphan who formed a special bond with King Kong.

‘The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare’ star’s tribute came after a press release by the Frederick County Sheriff's Office revealed that the fatal accident happened in the 11400 block of Windsor Road in Ijamsville, Maryland.

There were reportedly three people inside the 1995 Honda Accord, which included Hottle and a 19-year-old driver. But the ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ star only faced life threatening injuries before her death.

The official statement also added that the 1995 Honda Accord “traveled off the right side of the two-lane roadway and struck a culvert. Excessive speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the collision.”
