Discovery Mining (DSVSF) up 8.1% in Tuesday's trading after saiying recent drill results confirmed an expanded deposit at its Pamour mine in Ontario.
The miner said the 47 drill holes at Pamour showed its mineral deposit is larger in all three phases of the current open pit mine plan, while results also showed high-grade intersections at multiple new targets located close to the existing deposits.
The results could help define the mine as a large-scale deposit that has the potential for significant growth, Discovery's (DSVSF) Chairman, President, and CEO Tony Makuch said.
"The latest results provide further confirmation of the upside that exists and support our belief that we have an opportunity to transform Pamour into one of Canada's largest open-pit gold mines," Makuch said.
Discovery (DSVSF) said the drill program remains ongoing, with one drill focused on the Pamour open pit area, a second drill testing the Pamour West target, and a third drill operating at the North Contact Zone.
