Craig Melvin left followers stunned after posting an intimate snapshot on social media.
The 47-year-old host shared an image to his Instagram feed on Tuesday. The Today show anchor uploaded a picture showing his crossed feet wearing flip-flops at the beach. The ocean and an expansive blue towel dominated the photo's background, which Melvin accompanied with the caption: "Out of office... Nothing like hanging with the family. Hope you're enjoying this summer too."
Followers, however, weren't impressed with his feet, with one remarking, "Good for you and your family... Kid, time for a pedicure." The post arrived just days after Andrew Truelove forcibly entered the Today show's A1-Studio at NBC Studios in New York's Rockefeller Center, confronting Melvin with racial slurs while attempting to locate weatherman Al Roker.

"At least you got the flip-flop right! @olukai is the greatest ever. (Not paid to say that! ) enjoy your break, my man," commented Today co-host Carson Daly. OluKai flip-flops are Hawaiian-inspired footwear.
"After that stuff at work, I get it. Wouldn't be mad if you took a tour of the villages! !" one fan commented, adding a winky emoticon to the message. Melvin had reportedly scheduled his getaway before Truelove, 41, infiltrated NBC.
A security officer was terminated from the Today show following the intruder's successful breach of security protocols. Truelove was apprehended and is facing two felony charges: burglary in the third degree as a hate crime and menacing in the third degree as a hate crime.
Truelove's NBC intrusion took place around 9 AM on July 16, moments before the Today show started recording. He was attempting to locate Al Roker, but was unsuccessful.
He subsequently encountered Melvin, at whom he yelled racial slurs and lunged towards. Truelove was then taken into police custody.
Several users in Melvin's comments section joked about the anchor displaying his feet to an audience "for free."
One even remarked, "Hope no one tries to sell this foot pic!" Other followers inquired which beach Melvin was unwinding at, with some pinpointing his whereabouts as South Carolina. One user criticized another for asking about Melvin's location, noting that no celebrity would reveal their whereabouts.
"Nothing better than a chill day at the beach!" a comment expressed in support of Melvin's family getaway.
"Craig, hope you are enjoying your vacation, and we can't wait to see you back on Today!" a Today show enthusiast commented. Numerous others noted that the host was taking a well-earned respite from the popular morning program.
"Have an awesome vacation Craig, I miss you. See ya soon," wrote one well-wisher.
