The Dauphin County coroner responded to a Tuesday morning crash on Interstate 81 involving a disabled tractor-trailer, PennDOT said.
The two-vehicle crash happened around 10 a.m. at mile marker 70.5 on I-81 north in Susquehanna Township, according to PennDOT spokeswoman Fritzi Schreffler.
Schreffler said a vehicle crashed into a disabled Amazon tractor-trailer that was on the side of the highway. The type of vehicle that crashed into the tractor-trailer is unknown.
Information about the number of fatalities or the identity of the person or people killed was not immediately available.
The crash disrupted traffic in the right northbound lane and blocked the right shoulder, causing traffic delays, according to 511PA. Drivers should expect delays in the area and use caution when traveling through the scene.
Schreffler said the crash scene is expected to clear at 2:30 p.m.
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
