CNN's chief data analyst Harry Enten revealed poll findings that are set to embarrass Donald Trump.
The US carried out strikes on Iran for the 11th straight night late on Tuesday, July 21, as Tehran cautioned the US against attacking its nuclear facilities. Iran and the US agreed a ceasefire in April, but fighting restarted last week as both nations clashed over control of the critical Strait of Hormuz waterway.
In a further setback to President Trump, it appears the US electorate does not support his recent attacks on the Middle Eastern nation, according to the latest polling data. During Tuesday's broadcast, CNN displayed the most recent poll figures showing Trump's Iran war net approval rating stood at minus 14 points in early March. This comes as CNN descended into chaos as panelists tried to make sense of a recent Trump announcement.

The network's chief data analyst noted, "Look how far down we are now. Right into the Red Sea. Minus 40 points underwater, according to a Washington Post poll. I tried to find every poll that I possibly could."
Enten continued, "I believe this minus 40 points represents the least popular poll in terms of Trump's net approval rating on the Iran war the entire war so far. I said it at the beginning, it started off unpopular and now it's even more unpopular. Historically unpopular with 40 points underwater."
US Central Command (Centcom) stated the wave of strikes was "designed to continue degrading Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping" in the Strait of Hormuz, reports the Express.
Iranian state media confirmed air defenses were activated in the capital Tehran. Blasts were also reported in the northwestern city of Tabriz, the southeastern ports of Chabahar and Konarak, and in the southern city of Bushehr, which is home to Iran's sole nuclear power plant.
Iran, which has already struck back against the US and its Middle East allies, issued warnings of further retaliation after Trump announced the US would shortly target an underground nuclear facility near Natanz.
This comes as Trump was teased for having a body double on The Daily Show after his "twin" walked past him during an interview. Daily Show viewers were left puzzled after host Jon Stewart played a clip of the president speaking to the press while a rather similar-looking man appeared behind him.
During the Monday, July 20, episode of The Daily Show, the 63-year-old comedian fueled conspiracy theories that Trump uses a "body double" as he questioned the mystery man's identity, referring to him as "Backup Trump."
