Authorities have issued a Silver Alert for an at-risk elderly woman after she disappeared on May 31, the California Highway Patrol said Tuesday.
Norma Martino, 93, was last seen near Newport Way and Meadows Drive in Vallejo. CHP activated the Silver Alert on Tuesday after she remained missing for two months. Authorities said Monday they believe she may be traveling on foot in Solano, Alameda, Contra Costa or Sacramento counties.
Martino is 5-foot-7 and 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. CHP was informed of Martino’s disappearance on July 20, the agency said in a social media post.
A Silver Alert is issued when a person age 65 or older, or someone who is developmentally or cognitively impaired, goes missing and is considered at risk. The CHP activates the alert after a local law enforcement agency determines the individual meets the criteria and it has exhausted all available resources.
Anyone with information about Martino’s whereabouts is urged to call 911.
