The Cheyenne Bryant doctorate debate is getting another response, and this time Bryant is leaning into humor instead of offering a traditional defense. In an Instagram post, she joined the viral Netflix documentary trend with a video featuring academic regalia and a wall filled with framed accolades.

“When Netflix does a documentary on Dr. Cheyenne Bryant, Episode 1 will ask, ‘Is she really a doctor?’ Episodes 2-10 will investigate why complete jealous envious haters tried to prove she wasn’t.”

Bryant doubled down in the caption, writing, “Your favorite Doc is ready!” 

The post turns a serious question about academic credentials into a joke about critics becoming the villains of her future documentary. Instead of directly revisiting transcripts, dissertations, or university records, Bryant presents herself as confident, accomplished, and completely unmoved by the scrutiny.

Bryant previously said she attended Argosy University and completed a doctoral program before the institution closed. She reportedly explained that she later encountered problems obtaining official records through the third party custodian responsible for documents after the shutdown. Bryant said she downloaded transcripts before losing access to the student portal and still possesses documents related to her academic history and dissertation work. She also said information about her education remained reflected in her financial aid history.

Those statements represent Bryant’s account, but they have not ended thedoctorate questions because the confirmed history of Argosy University does not independently establish whether a particular former student received a specific degree.

According to Federal Student Aid, all Argosy University locations stopped providing instruction in March 2019 after the collapse of Dream Center Education Holdings. The federal agency’s December 2020 guidance also stated that former Argosy students could order transcripts through a closed school information portal or contact the appropriate state agency for updated instructions about academic records.

The WASC Senior College and University Commission confirmed that it withdrew Argosy University’s accreditation on March 17, 2019. Limited accreditation remained temporarily in place for specific purposes, including issuing degrees to eligible students completing their final term and helping students access transcripts or transfer services.

That official timeline proves Argosy experienced a complicated and disruptive closure. It also shows that systems were created to address transcripts and other student records. Neither fact, on its own, confirms or disproves Bryant’s personal claim.

Bryant’s official biography states that she pursued a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University. However, the biography appears on her own website, making it a statement from Bryant’s platform rather than independent confirmation from the institution or a records custodian.

The debate carries additional weight because the doctor title remains central to Bryant’s public identity. According to Penguin Random House, her book, “Live Your Promise,” was published by Hay House on May 12, 2026. The publisher describes the 224 page book as a guide combining psychology, life coaching, and spiritual insight.

It is effective social media strategy because it allows her to reclaim the conversation without repeating the lengthy explanation she previously gave.

Bryant has made it clear that she views the criticism as jealousy and does not believe strangers are entitled to a continuing defense.
