Carly Pearce is willing to give marriage another shot.
In response to a comment from a fan on TikTok, the country singer shared her candid thoughts on marriage and having kids in a video on the platform posted on Tuesday, July 21.
“I absolutely wanna get married again, and intend to get married again, and will never let my past hinder me from doing that again,” Pearce, 36, said. “So what, I was divorced? It was my start-up marriage, and now I get to have the real one.”

Pearce married fellow country singer Michael Ray in October 2019, and the divorce was finalized in September 2020.
On the family front, Pearce said that she loves children and being an aunt — but it was “never my dream” to have children of her own.
“My dream was to pursue country music and live on the road, and I know that some people do that, and they’re great at it, but it has never been my dream,” she continued. “And I think that we should normalize people that truly know they don’t wanna have kids. I don’t think it should be for everyone just because society tells us to.”
“So I don’t want children, and I’m totally okay with that,” Pearce concluded.
Pearce hard-launched her relationship with entrepreneur Jordan Karcher in July last year.
“I guess this is what the kids call a “hard launch” these days… 🤭♥️,” Pearce wrote on Instagram, alongside a sweet selfie.
In a recent interview with journalist David Begnaud on The Person Who Believed in Me podcast, Pearce said that she knew her marriage to Ray was a “mistake” on her wedding night.
“You know when you just know something’s not how it should be? I think everybody in my life knew I had made a … he made it very clear that I had made a very big mistake,” she said.
However, Pearce went on to note that she was “grateful” for her “very short marriage” because it taught her a lot about herself.
“It taught me just how strong I am,” she said. “I knew very quickly this was not what I deserved, and I blew up my life to get out of it.”
Pearce added, “I didn’t stay because society tells you you should. I didn’t stay because my faith says divorce is bad. I didn’t stay because, ‘Oh, it’s public, I need to do that.’ I was done.”
Meanwhile, in an interview on Bunnie Xo‘s podcast, Dumb Blonde, last year, she said she was “happier than ever” with Karcher.
