Brooklyn Beckham’s living space is a playbook for making curved sofas look timeless, not trend-led

Brooklyn Beckham’s Living Space Is a Playbook for Making Curved Sofas Look Timeless, Not Trend-Led

Far from a passing phase, Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s sofa remains the ultimate trick for turning modern architecture into a cozy sanctuary

In the living room of Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s California home, quiet luxury takes shape through subtle texture and considered geometry. Rather than anchoring their space with a conventional rectangular suite, the couple opted for a fluid, low-slung bouclé banquette (much like this one from Crate & Barrel) that's warm and welcoming, despite sitting as a chic designer piece.

This sofa trend illustrates a wider movement in modern decor toward softer, more conversational seating. It reminds us that statement pieces can still be inviting – and, above all else, curved living room sofas are still very much in fashion for 2026.

'The beauty of a curved sofa lies in its sculptural silhouette,' says Helen Pett, the brand ambassador at Arteriors.

'Moving away from the boxier, more rigid structure of a typical sofa, the soft, curved lines introduce flow into a space. With the two ends gracefully arcing towards each other, the sofa encourages conversation and brings a greater sense of intimacy to a space.'

According to Helen, pairing these fluid forms with quiet neutrals enhances their architectural presence without overwhelming the room.

'We always tell clients to lean into the soft, elevated feel of a curved sofa when choosing color and material,' she continues. 'At the moment, we’re seeing a return to soft, creamy tones, which bring a sense of lightness to their sculptural form.'

Plus, despite bouclé dividing top designers this year, Helen (and, perhaps unintentionally, Brooklyn and Nicola) suggests that this weave is still a favorite. If you're wondering if curved couches are on trend, this is your answer.

'Bouclé also remains a popular choice, adding softness to the plush exterior,' she adds.

'Seamlessly blending cloud-like comfort and striking design, a curving sofa pulls a space together, creating a cocooning feeling and providing a beautiful space for rest and contemplation.'

While the popularity of both curved sofas and bouclé are under debate, Brooklyn and Nicola have made one of the most convincing cases to date. It's hard to argue, when their living room looks that good.
