A cryptic new Instagram post from Britney Spears featuring a baby outfit and an enigmatic message has fueled fresh concern among those in her inner circle, with an insider claiming the singer’s family is now considering a crisis meeting over what they believe are her plans to try to have another child, Wonderwall.com can report.
While the “Oops!… I Did it Again” singer never explicitly said she wants another baby, some fans interpreted the July 15 post that way — a conclusion the insider claimed was accurate.
The baby-themed post
The speculation followed an enigmatic July 15 Instagram carousel that opened with a photo of a baby outfit reading “Phoenix has arrived.”
The post also included what appeared to be a religious book, photos of her sons, Sean Preston Federline, 20, and Jayden James Federline, 19, a painting depicting a woman and child, plus a video of Spears doing a backflip.
Alongside the images, she wrote, “If you’re lucky I have someone unbelievably beautiful I want to introduce you to… hopefully this year and if not the most beautiful things will never be seen!!!!!”
She peppered the message with a fingers-crossed emoji and multiple woman-shrugging emojis, adding, “Come what may… oh so near but the feet I feel lived too much in fear so the soil of ground that silence suspends is where I’m found yet there begin!!!! It’s in the silence!!!!!!”
Motherhood challenges
Spears lost primary custody of her sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline, 48, in 2007 during a highly publicized period of personal struggles that ultimately led to her conservatorship. Since the conservatorship ended in 2021, she has married and divorced Sam Asghari, 32, and recently resolved a DUI case stemming from a March arrest.
“Britney is deadly serious about this and believes she can still get pregnant naturally at 44,” said an insider. “But if that doesn’t happen quickly, she’s willing to go down the surrogate or adoption route.”
The insider further alleged that the “Toxic” singer has begun interviewing potential sperm donors from among people on her payroll and within her social circle.
A source added that Paul Soliz — Spears’ on-again, off-again boyfriend and a former maintenance worker at her home — has emerged as a leading candidate, further alarming her family.
Family fears grow
“Needless to say her family is horrified,” said the source. “They’re saying it’s bad enough that she’s still in such a bad place herself, but to add a baby into the mix when she’s clearly still deeply troubled is absolute madness that needs to be stopped.
“How can she possibly raise a baby when she can’t even take care of herself?”
In November 2021, Spears successfully ended the conservatorship over her person and her finances that had controlled her life for more than 14 years. Her father, Jamie Spears, 74, was in charge for most of that time.
Spears has continued to draw concern from fans because of some of her social media posts, including videos of herself dancing with knives, as well as her recent DUI case.
Family allegedly ready to step in
According to the insider, the singer’s brother, Bryan Spears, 49, and mother, Lynne Spears, 71, are quietly rallying a small group of relatives and longtime friends for an emergency sit-down with Britney.
“[Bryan], Lynne and a core group of other family and friends are determined to put a stop to this,” the insider said. “If that means going down the legal route again, so be it. They feel this is their last chance to save Britney from herself — and to stop an innocent baby from being dragged into the chaos.”
Britney voluntarily entered a residential treatment facility in April following her March DUI arrest before later pleading guilty to a reduced “wet reckless” charge.
The terms of her plea deal allow her to avoid jail time and have her original charge dropped if she stays out of trouble. She was sentenced to 12 months of summary probation, one day in jail — which was credited as time served — state-mandated fines and a three-month DUI program.
