Boy Meets World star Ben Savage recently shared a series of sweet family photos on Instagram — a rare public appearance amid his fallout with his old castmates.
Taking to the social media platform in July, the actor showed off his adorable family, consisting of himself, his wife Tessa Angermeier, their baby girl and their dog. The photos also showed two lovely donkeys, though it’s unclear whether they belong to the family or not.
Savage simply captioned the post, “Summer days.”
Fans were delighted by the update, with one person saying, “This just popped up while my husband and I are watching, Boy Meets World. We both thank you for the lessons you taught us while we were growing up. ❤️.”
“❤️Beautiful family❤️,” said someone else.
“How beautiful ❤️ How precious 💕 What a beautiful family you have been blessed with,” added another.
It’s well known that Savage currently does not speak to his former Boy Meets World castmates, much to their chagrin.
Apparently, things started going south when Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle and Rider Strong launched their “Pod Meets World” podcast in 2022. At the time, they’d asked Savage to present the show with them. Not only did he refuse, but he also stopped taking their calls.
While promoting their film Doc Meets World, which was released earlier this year, the actors addressed the rift head-on.
“It’s been hard. I mean, just today, literally we were recording an episode this morning of ‘Pod Meets World’ and there came a question that we all wanted to know, that we know if Ben had been on with us, it would have been answered like that, and we would have heard a great story,” Friedle told People in June. “There are so many times I want to pick up the phone and still do. I know I’m shouting into the void, but I’m going to keep doing it. I haven’t given up on my friend. And I’m hoping that he comes back into our lives at some point, and when he does, we’re going to have a lot to talk about.”
Fishel added, “I love imagining him in this new chapter of his life as a dad. I know he has had a baby girl. He’s now a husband. So I love just thinking about him [in that capacity].”
Savage married Angermeier in 2023, and their child was born in November 2025. “We talked a lot about how he looked forward to being a dad someday,” Fishel added in June. “So I like imagining this phase of life that he’s in now. And it makes me sad sometimes when I think about the fact that I would love to just know, like, ‘How’s it going? What’s happening now? What are the milestones that are being checked off?'”
