On July 20, 2026, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 36 was officially released in V-Jump Issue #9. It finally set things into motion for the latest Boruto arc, which officially began on June 18, 2026. With Sarada finally being kidnapped and Boruto rushing into the battlefield immediately after, this new arc has already set up an exciting battle for all of us to enjoy. At the same time, it has also built up an exciting narrative around this arc, thanks to Kashin Koji's Prescience ability, which was officially upgraded in this month's chapter.
Through this upgraded Prescience, we finally got our first glimpse of the strongest transformation in the entire story that is soon to be revealed, and that is Boruto Uzumaki's Full Karma transformation after the timeskip. While this form was already incredibly powerful before the time skip, now it is going to be on a completely different level, surpassing even the likes of Baryon Mode.
Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 36 Officially Gives A Look At Boruto Uzumaki's Full Karma Transformation
On July 20, 2026, in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 36, we finally got a proper look at Kashin Koji's Prescience ability being upgraded. After Amado and Kawaki kidnapped Kashin Koji, the genius scientist who currently resides in Konoha decided to tamper with his ability and shorten the intervals between each update that he gets. Immediately after, Kashin Koji was let go again. The primary reason Amado did this to Kashin Koji was so that he could receive better updates faster, and, most importantly, help him figure out a pathway to bring Akebi back to life. As confirmed by Kashin Koji, he has seen thousands of different pathways, but Akebi is not brought back in any of them. To that end, Amado is likely to change his pathway from here onwards, but that is the secondary plot line that Mikio Ikimoto and Masashi Kishimoto, the creator and the supervisors respectively, will focus on later down the line.

The primary takeaway from Kashin Koji getting an upgrade in Prescience was his latest karmavision, which confirmed once and for all that Boruto Uzumaki is set to tap into the strongest transformation in this arc later down the line. In Kashin Koji's vision, he got to see Boruto having developed a proper Otsutsuki horn with his Byakugan showing and the Karma having spread all over his body. This is Stage 2 of Karma that Boruto had tapped into on a couple of occasions before the timeskip. However, in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 36, on July 20, 2026, we got our first look at Boruto's full Karma transformation after the time skip. It must be remembered that Boruto is already one of the strongest in the world, if not the outright strongest.

For him to reach the second stage of karma means that he is going to be on a completely different level of strength that rivals even Baryon Mode. As to when this transformation will be utilized by Boruto Uzumaki and against whom, we do not know. All we know is that this transformation is coming, and based on Kashin Koji's reaction to seeing this form, things do not look good for either Konoha or for the Ninja World.
Why Boruto's Full Karma Form Surpasses Baryon Mode Naruto
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 36 officially confirmed the return of Stage 2 Karma transformation for Boruto Uzumaki. There is a significant reason as to why this transformation could very well make Boruto stronger than even Naruto in Baryon Mode. To understand that, we simply need to look at Boruto's power level without even utilizing Karma.
In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter #3, released officially on October 20, 2023, the young Uzumaki faced off against Code and effortlessly defeated him in battle without even tapping into the Karma. To put that into perspective, Code was already significantly stronger than Jigen at this point in the series and should have been only slightly weaker than Isshiki Otsutsuki. Yet, Boruto dismantled them in combat without even tapping into his strongest ability.

Then, in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter #28, released on November 19, 2025, he finally got a power-up in the form of Stage 1 Karma after striking a deal with Momoshiki. This likely powered him up significantly to a point where he would've been able to hold his own against the likes of Isshiki, given that he was already way stronger than Code in the past. To add Stage 2 on top of this officially makes Boruto stronger than Isshiki and, as such, stronger than Baryon Mode Naruto.
In terms of raw strength or reflexes and speed, Boruto might not surpass Baryon Mode Naruto and would likely be on the losing end. However, as was clearly seen in Boruto Chapter 52, Baryon Mode has a strict time limit, and Naruto needs to use it very carefully. This is a big downside of Baryon Mode and was the primary reason why Naruto could not finish off Isshiki on his own. Boruto has no such downside and instead has near-limitless amounts of chakra. For him, outlasting Naruto in battle would not be too hard, and as such, overall, his Stage 2 Karma transformation, which was officially teased in this month's chapter, comes out on top.
Boruto's New Form Is Set To Be Revealed In The New Arc
The post-Mamushi arc of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex continues with great intensity after having begun in V-Jump Issue #8’s Chapter 35 release on June 18, 2026. In this month's chapter, we saw Sarada Uchiha finally being kidnapped and Boruto rushing to the battlefield, only to realize that he has no place to teleport to. As such, things are not looking good for Sarada or for Boruto, and from here onwards, the intensity of the arc is only going to go up further.
Boruto: Sarada, I want you to let them capture you. He'll likely take you straight to their base. But don't worry, I'll fly right to you using those symbols I just gave you.

One way or another, this arc is going to see some of the biggest and most prominent players enter the fray. We know that, thanks to the Prescience vision of Kashin Koji, focus will be thrown on the likes of Shikamaru, Jura, Hidari, Sarada, Konohamaru, Kawaki, and Boruto Uzumaki. These characters are certainly going to be at the forefront of things.
Given that Kashin Koji's vision clearly showcased Boruto utilizing Stage Two Karma, we now know for a fact that this transformation is coming sooner rather than later and should be finally unveiled to us at around the end of this arc. This is going to be an exciting time for all the fans of the Boruto series as well as the fans of the character of Boruto Uzumaki. What's more, this arc is also going to finally see Hidari being put to bed and Sasuke Uchiha being freed at its end, and that is another development that we absolutely cannot wait to see.
