Air Force Brig. Gen. Blaine Holt told Newsmax Tuesday the United States has decimated Iran’s military and that escalations of conflict will not lead to an all-out war.
"If Iran wants to talk, they can talk, but they're disingenuous," Holt said on "Rob Schmitt Tonight."
"And they proved it. The only thing they can really talk about is the terms of their surrender," Holt said.
"What we're doing is we're weakening the IRGC, opening up the Straits, we're severing key points so that the IRGC can't talk to itself, can't control its forces, darn sure doesn't have any money," Holt added.
"And it's getting weakened to a state where we're going to spark this new thing, a new phase called the Iranian Revolution," Holt continued.
"Guerrilla groups are formed up. They're getting supplied, they're getting their training," he said.
Holt said instead of hijacking Iran’s revolution, the United States will aid and abet one instead.
"What we'll do is we will be a support function to an Iranian revolution," Holt said.
"They have to take back their country. Twice before we have provided 130,000 U.S. Forces into decades long wars that led to nowhere.
"This is completely organic, and the Iranian people will never have a better opportunity in their lives to grab their country back for themselves right now," Holt added.
"Now, they can't do it by themselves because the IRGC has combat capability," Holt continued.
"We will jacket them with air power," Holt said.
"They want to bomb somewhere. They've got it. They need resupply. They'll get it. We're just not going to bring in divisions of forces," Holt concluded.
