SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — San Francisco police said they arrested a man who barricaded himself inside an apartment building Tuesday evening after allegedly stabbing a person who just exited a downtown MUNI station.
Police said they responded to a stabbing just before 7:20 p.m. near 7th and Market streets.
At the scene, officers located a victim suffering from an apparent stab wound, who was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect fled the area before being located inside an apartment building on the 100 block of 6th Street.
“The suspect refused to comply with the officer’s orders and barricaded himself inside a room,” police said in a news release. “Officers coordinated and developed a strategic plan, and the suspect was eventually taken into custody without incident.”
The suspect’s identity and potential charges have not been released at this time.
