Aviation Capital Group (ACG) said it has signed lease agreements with Japan's Skymark Airlines for seven Boeing 737-10 aircraft, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2028.
The agreement was announced on the opening day of the Farnborough International Airshow, where aerospace companies traditionally unveil new aircraft, customer commitments and commercial partnerships. For investors, the biennial event is one of the industry's most important venues for announcing aircraft orders, leasing agreements and new products that provide insight into airline demand and manufacturer production pipelines.
The leasing deal adds to a series of Boeing announcements at this year's airshow, including major aircraft commitments from leasing companies and airlines.
Fleet expansion
The aircraft will come from ACG's existing Boeing orderbook and are expected to support Skymark's fleet expansion and renewal plans.
Skymark operates from Tokyo's Haneda Airport, where airlines face limited airport slots and often seek larger aircraft to increase passenger capacity without adding flights.
The Boeing 737-10 is the largest member of the 737 MAX family and offers more seating capacity than earlier variants.
Builds on existing relationship
The lease agreements expand an existing relationship between ACG and Skymark, which previously included Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Skymark, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, currently operates a fleet of 30 Boeing 737-800 and 737-8 aircraft. The airline introduced Japan's first Boeing 737-8 into commercial service in May 2026 on flights between Tokyo Haneda and Fukuoka.
Neither ACG nor Skymark disclosed financial terms of the lease agreements.
