Avengers: Doomsday has avoided providing audiences a look at the strongest hero that's set to be part of the MCU movie's story - and this call is one that seems as though it will make the movie feel all the better when it finally debuts. Hype for Avengers: Doomsday has been built higher and higher yet over the course of the past year or so, with the various teasers and eventual trailer drop for Doomsday allowing fans to get a sense of the actual story and events of the upcoming MCU movie following months of theories about what to expect.

Avengers: Doomsday's Trailers Avoiding Addressing What Happened To Franklin Richards Is The Right Call For The Movie
Avengers: Doomsday's first full-length trailer releasing recently has meant we've now seen far more about the impending movie than ever before, setting an exciting precedent about what's to come both in terms of the actual film and its story, and the prospective further teases we're no doubt set to get before its debut.
Interestingly, even though these trailers have revealed several key plot points - such as Steve Rogers' return in the film, and some early glimpses of Doctor Doom's MCU design in the movie - one of the film's most important and powerful figures has been almost entirely absent from this promotional buildup to the film's release.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps' post-credits closed with an ominous shot of Sue Storm discovering Doctor Doom interacting with her son Franklin Richards, leading to a popular theory that Doom kidnapped the child, since we've not seen any trace of Franklin being with the Fantastic Four after this in Doomsday's teasers, and given it would explain why the team seem to have traveled universes, if they're hunting after their stolen family member.
The fact Avengers: Doomsday has not weighed in on Franklin's fate or story yet does seem to be the right call for the film given the tension this builds. This is particularly true when it's taken into account that we know the character's staggering comic powers - which appear to also be part of the MCU, following The Fantastic Four: First Steps' story, and Franklin reviving Sue in its ending - could be a huge game changer for the film due to their reality-changing capabilities, meaning keeping everything under wraps here is wise.
Franklin's Powers Mean He's Avengers: Doomsday & Avengers: Secret Wars' Hidden Ace
If the MCU follows suit from Marvel's comic source material with Franklin - which does indeed appear to be the case after Galactus was drawn to the Fantastic Four's Earth because of the immense powers Franklin possesses - then it's safe to say the character is capable of single-handedly changing the story of Avengers: Doomsday entirely.
Indeed, most of the theories about how Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars will soft reboot or reset the MCU (as discussed by Kevin Feige) involve Franklin Richards in some capacity. Looking at the comics, this certainly has a precedent that makes it seem a viable possibility, since Franklin has adjusted the nature of reality more than once in his time on the inked pages of Marvel's stories.
As such, Avengers: Doomsday avoiding the figure who is arguably the MCU's most powerful active character right now makes all the more sense, since either Doomsday or Secret Wars - or both - are almost inevitably set to play on Franklin's story and powers in order to build further audience anticipation and hype for these final chapters of the MCU's Multiverse Saga.
