Analyst Claims Donald Trump Has Picked His 2028 Successor, and It’s Not JD Vance or Marco Rubio

Even though Mary Trump previously asserted that Donald Trump Jr. won’t be succeeding his father as the next president of the U.S., Jonathan V. Last suggested otherwise. Even though Mary Trump previously asserted that Donald Trump Jr. won’t be succeeding his father as the next president of the U.S., Jonathan V. Last suggested otherwise.

The editor of The Bulwark argued that while many expect JD Vance or Marco Rubio to emerge as Donald Trump’s political successor, neither of them will get the position.

According to Last, it’s actually going to be Trump Jr. who will replace the 80-year-old as the face of the Republican Party and eventually become the president of the U.S.

Jonathan V. Last Says Financial Interests Could Shape Donald Trump Jr.’s Succession

In his op-ed for The Bulwark, Jonathan V. Last reflected on Trump Media & Technology Group’s decision to grant subscribers access to posts before they go live in the public feed.

“Believe me: This story is fascinating. It demonstrates Trump’s animal cunning,” Last said. “Oh—and it also hints at why there’s a good chance Don Jr. runs for president.”

Following the latest Truth Social move, the editor explained how the business strategy behind the social media platform could influence who ultimately succeeds Trump politically.

“Like the ballroom, the underground bunker, the attempt to monkey with the midterm elections, the Trump 2028 hats, and much else, I take Truth API as another signal that Trump does not intend to let ownership of the Republican Party pass to someone outside his family,” Last wrote.

“There’s simply too much money to be made,” Last argued. “He keeps building infrastructure for his family to make money from ownership of the party.”

Last added, “Truth API is another part of that infrastructure. Do you think he’s building it just so he can abandon it 28 months from now?

“Truth API is worth probably a few hundred million dollars a year if a Trump is president, or is presumed to have a 50-50 chance to be president,” Last wrote. “It is worth zero dollars if Marco Rubio or JD Vance is president.”

Mary Trump Rejects Succession Theory, Citing Donald Trump’s Narcissism

Jonathan V. Last’s theory about Donald Trump Jr.’s potential succession comes after Mary Trump rejected the idea during a Q&A session with Big Tent USA

The author, while reflecting on Donald Trump’s psychology, argued that the 80-year-old won’t endorse anyone, let alone the son, whose wedding he didn’t attend

“The other thing about Donald, he doesn’t want anybody to succeed him because he doesn’t think anybody should. There’s nobody good enough,” the 61-year-old said.

Trump’s niece added, “He’s not endorsing anybody and he never will. So, and it’s certainly not gonna be [Don Jr.]. He wouldn’t even go to the guy’s wedding.”

Trump snaps at female ABC reporter for question he cannot answer

Donald Trump has launched another attack on a female reporter, this time for asking if he had a plan to end the increasingly costly war in Iran. Days after two more service members died in the conflict, the 80-year-old president suggested on Tuesday that the fighting could continue indefinitely while asserting this was “the golden age of America.” But Trump became visibly annoyed when challenged by ABC reporter Mary Bruce to explain to the...
