Adam Levine has reportedly worked to restore his marriage with Behati Prinsloo following a texting scandal that nearly tore their relationship apart.
The couple recently celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary in St. Tropez. Levine also shared a message on Instagram, referring to Prinsloo as his “favorite human.”
According to an insider who spoke to Daily Mail, Levine spent several years regaining his wife’s trust, which required significant changes in his personal and professional life.
“Their relationship is in a much healthier place than it was in the immediate aftermath of the scandal,” a source told the outlet. “That doesn’t mean everything is perfect… but Adam has made enough changes to keep the marriage intact and avoid repeating the mistakes that nearly cost him everything.”
The insider added that Levine “won Behati back by spending more time with her and making her more of a priority.”
“They go on dates and do romantic things again,” the source continued. “He’s just not an easy guy overall, and he knows it. So he has been going out of his way to be more present and giving and happy.”
In 2022, the couple faced one of Hollywood’s biggest celebrity scandals after model Sumner Stroh alleged she had a year-long affair with Levine.
She shared screenshots of flirtatious messages from the singer and alleged that Levine expressed interest in naming his unborn child after her.
Subsequently, additional women accused Levine of inappropriate communications. He denied any physical relationship but acknowledged he “crossed the line” and publicly apologized to his wife and family.
According to one insider, the Maroon 5 frontman experienced consequences beyond public embarrassment following the controversy.
“Adam has spent the last several years trying to repair his public image following the texting scandal. It was a wake-up call on multiple levels,” the source said. “It hit his ego, his public perception and ultimately his earning potential.”
Another source claimed that their marriage lasted because Prinsloo “stood by his side.” The same source also said that Levine slowly changed his priorities. He focused more on people close to him and on becoming a role model for his children.
They added, “He’s just not an easy guy overall, and he knows it. So he has been going out of his way to be more present and giving and happy.”
